For guidance on how to contribute, please see: https://orgmode.org/worg/worg-about.html#contribute-to-worg The org-mac content was last updated in 2021 (to add org-mac-mail-link), and that for org-protocol page in 2022 (GNU/Linux setup) and 2021 (OS X pointers). One thing I've noted that the org-protocol content should probably be updated to reflect that on GNU/Linux since Emacs 30.1, Emacs is the default application for the 'org-protocol' URI scheme, which should simplify setup.
