I don't spontaneously go to the FAQ to find documentation and don't see a problem in duplicating information in the FAQ and in the manual anyway, and, since I cannot appreciate Jacob's earlier mention that perhaps this shouldn't be documented, I would advocate inserting something like Inline comments are also possible @@comment: like this@@ or even @@c: like that@@. in the '13.6 Comment Lines' section of the manual, after Likewise, regions surrounded by ‘#+BEGIN_COMMENT’ ... ‘#+END_COMMENT’ are not exported.
