Agreed, I think besides the doc strings, adding something like this in the manual would be enough: Mixed ranges of numbers and characters are also permitted, e.g., to get the full range of priorities you could set: #+PRIORITIES: 0 Z A Numbers have a higher priority than characters and will appear first when sorted. -- Jacob S.
