This sounds like good usage of the technology.

I wish more research would go into this area, but I don’t expect that in
the current state, because it’s not where the majority of the money can
be made.

If the bubble bursts, I hope that these use cases can be salvaged, so
they don’t get lost in another AI winter, to be partially rediscovered
half a century later.
