I don’t mind using elisp for some configurations, but I can’t do it at all times. Configuring through the customize interface is usually much more convenient when I’m tired or distracted but want to fix something anyway. Or just need to adjust something quickly. Also discoverability of the customization interface is much better: just search with ido in the options provided by M-x customize-variable -- or with full-text search in the org-mode group. I actually just started using elisp in org-macros, but I prefer not needing it, because that feels more brittle than using documented options. > General font config: > [X] I want my configurations match the manual(s) of the package(s) I > use as much as possible. I still have to use some package options -- wished it would just work with #+language: de,en,eo > Thanks for any input. Thank you for conducting the survey and improving org!
