That works as does the attempt on my *home* computer. I was at work earlier. I'm truly perplexed as from memory I just cannot think of anything different between the home and work .emacs files that would do this. I want to go back and look at the load languages section from the work one, though, as I got the same error at home prior to adding that section. I'm wondering if I have a typo somewhere (though I did copy and paste what's below so just not sure!).
I'll try again and post back tomorrow. I truly appreciate the help.
