After looking at Emacs TUTORIAL files that set sentence-end-double-space to nil for some languages, I got the impression that different languages have special conventions about spacing after full stop in fixed-width fonts. But it seems there are no standards for using double-space, and this is rather a matter of taste. However, I think some other sentence-related options may depend on language environments, namely `sentence-end-without-period' and `sentence-end-without-space' whose values should conform to the rules of punctuation. -- Juri Linkov http://www.jurta.org/emacs/ _______________________________________________ Emacs-pretest-bug mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/emacs-pretest-bug
