IMHO, if a user needs to futz with redisplay-dont-pause to solve her problems, there's either a bug or a missing feature. I don't think redisplay-dont-pause was ever meant for the users, since its effect is complicated and hard to explain. In some situations it makes redisplay more responsive, in others it has the reverse effect. > Normal redisplay is restarted whenever it is interrupted by user > input.
