Reply "no" to confirmation message.
C-c C-c again (you are still in *mail* buffer.
Your mailer is brought up with a mail message.
I am not sure what "Your mailer is brought up with a mail message"
means.
My mailer is MS Outlook. At that point, an Outlook new-message window is
opened. That's what I meant.
In any case, when I try this, it tries to send the message.
(But it will bounce since the To field is empty.)
So I don't think I am seeing the same behavior you are.
The point was that you don't get another confirmation message. You hit C-c
C-c, and you are asked for confirmation. You say "no". You hit C-c C-c
again, but instead of asking you again, as you say, "it tries to send the
message".
That seems link a bug to me. It shouldn't try to send a message unless you
answer "yes".
