It's not that I do not want to use these x... commands – I can't use
them because the Apple versions of GCC seem to "optimise things
away." I tried to compile with gcc-3.3 – and then GDB is missing
other pieces:
No symbol "gdb_gctypebits" in current context.
No symbol "gdb_use_union" in current context.
And with GCC 4.0.1 compiled GNU Emacs GDB reports:
No struct type named Lisp_Symbol.
