Gentlemen, ffap loves the root (/) directory too much.
$ cat file
</pre>
$ emacs -Q -f ffap-bindings file

Notice how wherever you place the cursor (after the "<"), C-x C-f
assumes you want the root directory. 99% of the time this is the wrong
assumption.

I looked at ffap.el for what variable to adjust, but it looks too
complicated.
