Please don't think of GNU Emacs as "open source".
GNU is part of the free software movement; we developed
GNU Emacs for the sake of users' freedom.

Thanks for the clarification! Now I've read this article (and some
others linked near to it) and (I think -- again) I know the
difference, and call GNU Emacs as free sw.
