I do not know if this is a bug, but it could be. I am a bit surprised
that let symbols get interned. Try this:
(intern-soft "this-was-no-symbol")
It returns nil. Now evaluate this
(let (this-was-no-symbol))
Then evaluate the intern-soft line again. Now the variable is interned.
Should let symbols be interned this way?
