Your suggested solution is based on the presumption that spam repetitively comes from specific email addresses. I'd be willing to bet that you will find that is true in only a limited number of cases. Hence, your filter based on a "bad-guys list" will be of limited value. 2.) Filters based on portions of sender addresses (as some others have suggested) or on key words, often run afoul of the "false positive" problem. If you choose to go this route, I urge you to put the emails into a folder where you can scan them before actually deleting them. I speak from the experience of a fellow MUG Board member who was "deep-sixing" with a spam filter that was actually also deleting official Board business. (We wondered why he suddenly seemed so uninvolved in online discussions!) Personally, I just rely on the ability of Emailer to select discontiguous lines in the list and then I use a very fast delete key. It is irritating to have to do it but for me it is less trouble that any other approach I have personally tried.
