Hmm. If I remember right S11=xx adjusts the delay between numbers. 
L1/L2/L3 adjusts the speaker volume. M1 is speaker enabled, M0 is 
disabled. Actually, I never liked the speaker volume on Sportster models, 
simply because it couldn't be adjusted during modem initialization.

You should be able to modify whatever file you're using for settings to 
adjust the intialization string to include the appropriate commands. 
Having not used a modem in years, others would probably be able to help 
you better in this regard...
