Hello, I need to have a HyperCard stack send and receive email. It can do any thing that can be done with AppleScript within the limits of Emailer's scriptability.
The problem, so I've been told, is that AS cannot pull the mail directly out of the incoming file. I've been told this means I must go into Emailer and transfer the files to a storage area first, before AS can get them. If this is so, then it will totally defeat the purpose of the HC stack. The stack is an onscreen keyboard designed for severely disabled persons, has many customizable features. The keyboard screen is designed as a "Home" environment, and it isn't viable for the users to go elsewhere to accomplish a task. It can do most of the tasks which use external apps through AppleScript, and I need it to do email as well. I'd prefer to use a memory-efficient version of emailer (like EmailerLite) as the machines I'll be supplying are old LC's discarded by a local school system.
