Does anyone know a good efficient script for dumping LOTS of messages to text?
There is a "Save Messages As Text" script I have (found on fog city IIRC), but it does a horrible job on saving large numbers of emails that have the same name. When it saves, it appears to try to save with the subject as the name, if it finds that name is in use, it adds a number to the end of the name, and repeats. This is wonderful if you have only a few with the same name... but once you cross 20 or 30, it slows to a crawl as it starts back at 1 each time. Once you cross 100, it tends to just fail with a timeout error (that's right, as of 100, it can take upwards of 5 minutes to figure out the next available name). I have to export 570+ messages, all with the same subject. Needless to say, the fog city script isn't gonna do it. So before I write my own, I was wondering if anyone else has a good one. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
