My ISP did that at one time too and it did not cause me problems once I 
changed the settings.

The UserID I only had to change in my PPP setup, not in Emailer.
The POP server is the Email Account entry, which in Emailer is properly 
entered as [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Can't tell if you've tried this or not.
