I have finally figured out how to get my AOL email using Outlook, Powermail, Apple Mail for OSX, or any other pop mail client.
It's actually so simple I'm surprised that I never thought of it before. Use an old mac to dedicate to Emailer. Have it check your AOL mail periodically. Make a mail action that will REDIRECT all your AOL mail to your main POP account (via a smtp server, not AOL). Then you just use your regular pop account as normal, usinmg any email client program you want to (or have to), and your AOL mail is in there! If someone wanted to start an AOL mail forwarding biz, this would be all you'd need! Easy, cheap, & legal. Now that I have figured this out, I have to say that I'm still sticking with Emailer until I can't, but it makes me feel better having options!!
