There was a web site at one point that was offering this as a service. 
You signed up, and it would check your AOL mail via the web interface 
from time to time, and then forward the mail to another account of your 
choice.

I don't think it took off very well, because, well... face it, are you 
going to happily hand over your AOL screen name and password to a 
complete stranger?!? I know I wouldn't.
