I think I have gotten that once in the past. When I had it, I noticed that after it finished checking all my accounts, it would attempt to check one of them again. Also with me, when I tried to quit, it thought there was still an active connection (when there wasn't), and crashed when I told it to stop and quit. And also was fine after that. I get the mysterious extra check of an account every once in a while.... but I only seem to recall the error and crash once before (usually it quits fine and goes away after that, or unchecking all my accounts in the Connect window and rechecking them tends to cure it). I don't know what causes it, and so far it has always been a simple fix, so I haven't worried much about it.
