Well, you _might_ be able to fool it a bit. Try going to your "Date and 
Time Control Panel" and setting the date ahead 10 year or so. With the 
clock set ahead, open Quicktime Player. After it opens and is "happy" 
quit the program. Then go back and correctly set the clock. Seems to 
work, at least until you do an update of QuickTime.
