True enough, unless there is some virus checker which decides that such

OK. That makes sense, as the files aren't corrupted when I download them 
to myself.

I'm using Word v. X, which (I suspect) saves the document in MS Word 
95/97/98/2000/2001/XP formats all at the same time. I cannot tell, since 
there is no option to save in multiple file formats anymore.

As for what they're using - I'm not sure. I suppose I shouldn't rely on 
the requirement that they have >= MS Word 97.

I should ask. I know that the files don't display properly on the preview 
in yahoo, with or without any graphics in the documents.

Time to go investigating.
