Tom - it's an interesting question. One that I ask myself from time to time.
When it comes right down to it, I use it exclusively for a minor amount of
AOL email I still get and (mainly) for AOL News Searches.
On my AOL account, I have several news searches set up to deliver news
stories with certain keywords ("Portland", "HVAC", etc).
I have a specific folders set up in Emailer and can quickly scan the
subject, then delete the story if it doesn't interest me. It's fast and I
don't have to "load" the story to make a decision to delete. Any emails I
decide to keep are EASILY archived in Filemaker Pro every 4-6 months.
Also, I have a few mail actions set where customer requests for information
automatically send PDF files as attachments based on the subject field. I
don't have to do anything and it logs it for me in the auto logger, adds the
customer into the address book and forwards a copy of the mail action to my
(regular) email client - OSX Entourage.> I'm not a Microsoft fan, but Outlook Express is pretty nice, and it's > free... and there are other alternatives... so why do YOU still use > Emailer? Overall it's a great program - but just like any program - I tend to use about 20% of the capability of what the program can do. It's that old comfort zone thing. I'm sure given time I'll find out all the other things it can do to make my life easier (but it doesn't do Windows). -- Scott [EMAIL PROTECTED] Portland, Oregon ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
