Apparently, eMailer ignores the order in which the accounts are listed in the Account List window. Though I had moved my pobox account to the top of the list, emailer continued to check the accounts in *alphabetical order*. When I put a space in front of the account name, " pobox", all the problems disappeared. Thanks for the replies...
