I got mine (MS PowerPoint Viewer mine calls itself) from Tucows' Mac
downloads site and it has been refusing to function - I have not noticed
any of the kind of dysfunction experienced by Harry however - perhasp
because I have also not received the following support files mentionned
on the above web page, I guess because it refuses to run (catch 22):-}:

>Note If your system does not have the necessary libraries the Viewer
>will install them the first time it runs. The folder "Supporting Files" in
>the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer folder contains these files

So, I would be willing to download instead from this page but not if it
will screw Explorer up - the only other MS app I use (being a big fan of
Scrapbook and Page Holder).

I did just discover today that I could open Word .docs with 6.2.3 (albeit
without the pix - how do I make that happen?) but do not understand your
reference to "the new Key" app. I am using OS 9.1.1.

If I get an attachment in Emailer that is .doc, can I open it directly
(without opening Appleworks>Open file> etc)? Double clicking on it
doesn't give me a dialogue box - just says can't find Word or any
appropriate translators.
