I am not sure wether you are saying the files have been converted but are 
still unreadable ..?  In that case perhaps quitting emailer and 
restarting it with the  option-key pressed will help it allows you to 
rebuild your email database.  I'm sure there's also a script to convert 
your adressbook from AOL to emailer.

I myself by the way had no problem converting the files from v. 1.1  to 
2.0 i think i just threw threw all the files from the mail 
applicationfolder into the browser of emailer 2.0 and presto!

I am sure there is also a script that can do this for you.. but this 
seemed more intuitive and it worked!    After that if the email database 
still gives you trouble try to do as i said ....  rebuild it by 
restarting the program with the option key pressed down that's the one in 
the middle in between the  ctrl and the apple-key.
