Ultimately, I want to run CE 2.3 via TCP/IP to access >>my AOL account, like I do in 9.2. I had OS X installed on this machine >>but never used it. >Ahem, anyway........to set up your ISP go to the Dock, System Prefs, and >then hit INTERNET and set up your email, then go to NETWORK icon and set >your TCP/IP and phone number in there. Once you choose INTERNAL MODEM and >PPP the place to input your phone number will BE REVEALED! It worked, thanks. Now I have a more interesting problem. I am currently using Jag to respond to this note. All's good in the hood, except I can make CE kick off the TCP/IP connection in Jaguar, but it takes 30 seconds or so for the connection to be made. In that time, CE stops waiting and goes back to the non-connecting state. Once the connection is made, CE just sits there. Once the connection is open, I can request CE Connect Now and, again, all's good in the hood. My problem is that I don't have an "always on" dialup connection. On another issue, I have to CE icons in my dock, both have a little padlock, what does that mean??? ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
