http://vric.free.fr/mac/Emailer/ I wrote them under OS 9, used them in OS9, OSX, OSA Menu, broke them with OS X yesterday, fixed them with Smile: now they should work again wherever Emailer works, except that missing attachments trigger strange error messages in OS X and cause OS 9 to attempt to trash the whole Emailer Files folder (but we don't let that happen). Sorry again for goofing with that OSX Script Editor. I had no idea the scripts would be so popular, I'd have released them long ago :O I'll notify the list when I manage to polish them (well, I said that to myself last year, maybe the list response will stimulate me :) If someone has a request or idea, let me know. My to-do list so far: - correct or remove the "Reveal" button that only works under native OS 9 - don't attempt to "Reveal" trashed files if there was none - tweak or annotate the missing files and folders counts that reflect a bug we can't correct - make the "verbose" mode optional - mark the deleted messages as read or assign them a label to differentiate from messages deleted by other means (because those still have their attachments) - make alternate brutal versions that "delete" instead of "trash" ? - recycle the last idea into a "flush deleted mail" script that would empty the deleted mail folder AND trash the related attachments, which suddenly makes a lot more sense to me (this way you don't have to wonder which trashed messages still have their attachments, you don't need to change habits regarding how you delete messages, and you keep those trashed messages complete with attachments until you flush them, which is logical) - in that case, add a note to advise the user to disable Emailer's auto-flush feature, which would defeat the purpose of the latter script ---- VRic ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
