I'm not an electrician (my dad was an electrical engineer when he was 
still living), but you might check with an electrician to see if you need 
a 220V, transformer or other adaptation to your wiring (or maybe your own 
substation?)... 

Yeah, I'd say you're drawing some heavy duty power there! Once you get it 
figured out and fixed, maybe you should let the rest of us know about how 
many amps begins to cook the outlets (seriously - there may be some other 
heavy users out there!).

Sorry for your misfortune, Chris. Hope nothing major got trashed in the 
shorting/fire. Will your insurance cover it (hope so)?
