Norb, You mention that the problem (below) occurs on some 'puters and not on others. I wonder if you've checked the actual phone numbers being used, to see if they are different (on the different computers).
I often get this same thing, and the connection log indicates that the problem was a timeout. It's a nasty problem, especially when I end up sending a client a message 4 or 5 times, and don't even know it until they make some comment or question about it.
