I have no idea. Only thing I know is the headers of my mail are the
standard Emailer headers when the message body contains accented
characrers (high-ASCII). Therefore the fact that my direct message to you
decodes correctly is normal.

Further thought, my message to the list was coded text/plain iso-8859-1.
It was sent as a 7-bits message and not as a 8-bit (at least I believe
so).

I will resend it in binhex and resend it also in Base64 (AOL has
difficulties to decode messages with attachments). The file can be found
on the fogcity software site (utilities emailer 2) at

<http://www.fogcity.com/em_utilities2.0.html>

It is dated 6/10/97

Its name is "text - Clean message"

This is a Dan Crevier script. It is configurable and does a lot more that
decoding quoted-printable. I have created multiple unidimensional
versions of this script, one of them being called by me "Decode
Quoted-printable".

Hope it helps.
