For several days I have not been receiving e-mail at this address (I have several other Bellsouth addresses and they are all working.) The error message I get in Apple Mail is that the password is not being recognized. Re-entering the password did not help. I thought the problem was with OSX so I tried using Emailer which gave me this message:
Checking email account [EMAIL PROTECTED]
** Pop server error “-ERR mail storage services unavailable, wait a
few minutes and try again.”
So at this point I called Bellsouth. The technician had me try connecting through their webmail address and I got a message that the user name was not being recognized and that the Message Store was unavailable. After trying a password reset and still having a problem he finally checked and found that Bellsouth is having a mail server problem that is nationwide. He suggested I try again in a few hours. Well the problem has continued for 3 days now...I cannot access mail from this account and they're not sure if the mail is getting through and being stored or if it's being bounced. :(
I haven't been unsubscribed from Emailer-Talk so hopefully it's being stored.

Today when I called I asked if there was anyway to forward the mail to another account and surprisingly there is! Via their webmail site I can select the option to forward mail to another e-mail address. I set this option and now I am again receiving e-mail addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I find this rather strange because I assume this means that unlike e-mail downloaded to Emailer, this e-mail is being acted upon before going through the server. The forwarded e-mail appears to be coming to [EMAIL PROTECTED] but in actuality is being delivered to my other address (Apple Mail has separate In boxes.) In Emailer I can't tell even by looking at the headers that the mail has been forwarded, except that trying to connect to [EMAIL PROTECTED] continues to give me the error message. BTW I can send from this account.
