I have added a new ISP that I will use on my Powerbook when I am
traveling away from home. This new provider, Yellowstone.net requires
SMTP authentication. I need help configuring Baton Mail as my attempts
have failed. I tried to get it working last month when I was out west but
without success. I can read mail from the server, actually a server from
a different ISP then what I am dialing into. But I can not send mail, it
just sits there trying to send and nothing happens. I'm virtually in the
dark on how Emailer, servers, ISP's, etc. work, so I really need to be
hand held through most computer related issues. I am using OS 10.2 and
Emailer 2.0.3 on my Powerbook 667. I have used Emailer through classic
without any problems. When using my powerbook at home, I am connected via
ethernet using a software router, the server being my desktop machine.

Here is what I've done with Baton Mail.

I've set up a "Default" configuration file, which includes
SMTP Server - mail.myyellowstone.net
User Name - larkins
Password - #####
Port - 25
Auth Type - SMTP

Then I completed another Account Setup for Yellowstone.net
Mail From ID - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
SMTP Server - mail.myyellowstone.net
User Name - larkins
Password - #####
Port - 25
Auth Type - SMTP

Later, the instructions talk about the localhost DNS feature. Do I need
this? When I tried to go to the TCP/IP control panel I get a system
message "That control panel is not supported by Classic"

I would appreciate any help with this as I am headed out on the road
within the next few days.
