I usually keep my Inbox sorted by date. I notice that if I change to sort by Subject or To/From, the number of messages displayed increases... mostly "This message has been permanently deleted" pseudo-messages, but some actual older messages also. Switching back to sort by date returns the display to the expected message set. It also doesn't appear to happen with any outer folder than the Inbox.
At this point, this doesn't present a problem for me, but I am wondering if anyone else has noticed a similar problem. Is the database corrupt?
