HTML can (and most probably will) have spaces in it.

The confusion comes in with Neville not being clear with what doesn't 
have a space. He doesn't mean that HTML doesn't have a space, he means an 
HTML only spam email is unlikely to have a space, because the email 
message will appear as non existant to Emailer with the HTML portion 
showing up as an attachment.
