One of the biggest, least discussed problems with email clients is stability. IMO Eudora doesn't have it. Apple Mail doesn't have it. MailSmith doesn't have it. Outlook doesn't have it. Emailer under OS 8 didn't have it. If you database can get corrupted with heavy use, it is not worth it for all the features in the world. The multiple mailbox system is normally safest, where only one at a time can get corrupted, but hasn't proven to be the case. The key for me moving is to have three main characteristics: Stability of the mail storage system, including exporting to safe systems Handling of multiple accounts with ease Ability to disable all html/font/pdf/graphics functionality. otherwise, it will suck terribly in comparison.
