Eureka! - My files have been found - I unknowingly had two copes of Claris on my computer and was accessing the one copy without the mail database and mail index folders that I copied and moved over. Once I realized I had two 'Mail' folders on my computer I was saved. Thanks for your help - you all are wonderful. Aloha. Jonel
