To transfer your Emailer database, you need to :

a) find the "Emailer files" folder you were actually using (there can be
more than one, in any location, named anything). To make sure you find
the right one, launch Emailer normally on your old computer and select
the menu item File:Open special folder:Emailer Files Folder. This will
open the folder containing your DB in the Finder.

b) copy that folder to your new mac. You can put it anywhere and give it
any name. (to drag the open folder, you can drag the proxy icon from its
title bar, or go up one level to see the actual icon of the folder; "go
up" is Command-Up arrow, or select the parent folder from the path menu
that appears when you Command-click on the title of the folder)

c) tell Emailer on your new mac to use the folder you copied. For that,
launch Emailer on the new mac while holding the F5 key. This will pop up
a dialog asking you to select your Emailer Files Folder.

Don't forget the help file and QuickHelp application that should be in
the "Claris" folder in your old mac's system folder. You can put them in
the same folder as Emailer to avoid losing them. You can put your Emailer
prefs file there too. Notice that the prefs file is where Emailer
remembers the current "Emailer Files" folder (your database), so if you
copy your prefs file from the old mac, which is wise, it will continue to
store attachments and use the DB on the old mac if it's available from
the network (use the F5 trick to direct it to the local copy, and select
a local folder for new attachments).

Notice that older attachments will probably be forgotten even if you
copied them along (because they refer to the original files on the old
mac, will work if it's shared though). If it is important to you, you can
work around this by reproducing the same path (ie if you stored
attachments in "MyDisc:Emailer:Transfer:", you'll have to copy them on a
disk named "MyDisc" on the new mac and put them in
"MyDisc:Emailer:Transfer:" (an alias refers to the original file ID but
also tries the last known path if the file ID fails).
