Forgot to mention: I'm using Script Editor & AppleScript v. 1.5.5.
My previous version (can't recall what that was) allowed me to save a script as an application. The present version offers these Save options only: Compiled Script Text Classsic Applet Mac OS Applet Would saving the script as a Classic Applet avoid ScriptEditors' opening and displaying the script? What about the two Save options, Stay Open and Never Show Startup Screen. Would the second choice do what I want?
