SpamFire runs in Mac OS 9.1, and it doesn't even have to be on your
machine. You can run SpamFire against your pop3 mailbox from anywhere.
Check it out.

I'm running SpamSieve 2.01 on my Mac (OS= 10.2) with Emailer, and
SpamFire on my Mac to filter my fiancee's email. She's on Mac OS 8.6.
SpamFire requires Mac OS 9.1 or X. So I just run it from my Mac to filter
her mail once an hour. I just started doing that after she didn't check
her email for a few weeks and had to download 3200 emails, most of which
were spam.

I've got discounts set up for both from our Mac Users Group shopping
page, about half way down. Both have free trials, so you can see it they
work for you.
