Actually, it isn't. Outlook Express is *free* in that they don't actually charge money specifically for it. It comes bundled with the copy of Windows that you have to purchase. Outlook (different then Outlook Express, but just as vulnerable, and what most corporate users are using) is NOT free. It is a purchased product. Usually it is purchased as part of the MS Office suite bundle, but it can be bought by itself (and in some cases is when companies just need more Outlook licenses but not Office licenses). And we won't even get into the TCO (total cost of ownership), where Outlook and Outlook Express both carry MASSIVE costs due to all the problems they cause (figure on the number of hours spent fixing virus infections, the costs of anti-virus software, the costs of server side virus filtering, the costs of maintaining server side black lists and filters to lower the virus intake level, the costs in wasted hours and productivity to jump thru hoops in sending attachments because you can't include SOOO many different kinds of files now or server side filters will reject them on the chance that they aren't legit). No... Outlook is FAR from free... in fact, I would venture to say that everything taken into consideration, it is very possibly THE SINGLE MOST EXPENSIVE email client on the market by far. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
