Just had to install MAC OS 8.1 over 8.5 since it acted weird and would not allow me to upgrade to 8.6 (where I wanted to be) since I have a G3 processor installed in my Performa which I suspect makes 8.6 incompatible. Any way, I was forced to do a clean install which means I have had to start over with set-up Emailer. I am up and going but every time it attempts to check for mail, I get a prompt for entering a password. How do I get this to stop?
