Hi Scott I recently tried to do the same in a bid to run an all X machine. But every time I imported directly into Mail (1.3 with Panther), it crashed after doing about 5 folders. If you have Entourage with an office X package you can import first into that program, which did a similar sized import for me as yours without crashing. Mail then imported all the messages from Entourage also without a problem. I think it is easier doing that than using scripts to export folder by folder from Emailer.
A couple of notes, as everything was already in Entourage (which is more feature complete than Mail I think), I flirted with the idea of trying that program for a while. After ten minutes use it crashed (running Panther 10.3.1), and I dropped that idea. But another ten minutes trying to find fav Emailer features in Mail, and I was back in trusty ol' Emailer actually receiving and sending email again. I will move to another client one day, but not this year. Happy and healthy holidays to all of you and thanks for your assistance. All the best for 2004. regards Larry [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote so eloquently on 15/12/03 2:53 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Date: Sat, 13 Dec 2003 08:32:09 -0500 >From: Scott Schuckert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: Export messages to Apple Mail? > > >I'm sure someone has answered this before, but I don't read this list >consistantly.
