Hi, I seem to have done serious damage to my EMailer database. An interruption while downloading email from the ISP server led to "bus error" problems. I rebuilt the database several times and finally reinstalled EMailer 2.0v3. In the end, Trashing the Temp Incoming folder fixed the "bus error" problems so EMailer will now launch and run.
Unfortunately, Emailer now opens without accessing its previous database files even though they are in the correct folder and correctly named. My Mail DB is about 280 MB and the Mail Index was previously about 40 MB. Now after rebuilding the database in every way that I can think of (basic and advanced rebuilds, rebuilding after removing the Mail Index from the Claris Files folder), the new Mail Database is still 280MB but the Mail Index is only 1K. When I open Emailer, all mail folders are empty. If I open Emailer by double-clicking on the Mail Database itself or the old Mail Index, it opens with all of my previous mail files showing in the Browser window but none of them will open. Due to space limitations, I foolishly failed to back up my Mail Database. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on things I can try to get my Mail Database up and running again (or, at least, to get access to the contents)? thanks in advance, Pat Sitton ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
