Yesterday I tried to send mail to three different people with Road Runner
addresses and all of it bounced all day. Last night at midnight I called
Cox tech support and was told that Road Runner was blocking all mail from
Cox but that the block should be removed by morning. Morning is well
underway but my mail to Road Runner is still bouncing, so I called tech
support again. I was told that blocks like this were usually the result
of spam originating from an ISP and that the problem was usually resolved
"quickly."

I was just wondering if any of you could tell me more about what is going
on. Is this just a fight between ISPs? Is Cox "dirtier" than the average
ISP?

If this happens often, I might have to consider changing ISP, but I'm
hooked on broadband, and I don't think DSL is very fast in this
neighborhood.
