Its a feature of Drag and Drop. Not all applications support it. I don't have Word 6 installed to try it, but it does work in Word 98. Its very possible that Word 6 doesn't support it, nor InDesign or Freehand. In fact, I'd be surprised if Freehand did it, as that is more of a graphics program, so it will have more limited text processing abilities. And WordPerfect is probably too old to support it (Drag and Drop was added in System 7.?? and didn't roll fully into the OS until OS 8, so many things didn't support it until OS 8, and I think WordPerfect's last version is older then that). I am a little surprised that InDesign wouldn't support drag and drop editing. That's a newer application for Desktop Publishing (right?). I would think it would be new enough to have been common when it was written, and I would think since it already would have a form of drag editing, that drag and drop cut/paste would have been a no brainer. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
