If those folks in your address book are running Windows with Outlook
Express and have your address in THEIR address books, then it's quite
possible that they have/had a Windows virus which is forwarding
itself to everyone in their address book.

But that's their problem.

You don't have a problem other than inconvience. However, I would
recommend that you trash your Norton software. There are no OSX
viruses and so few OS9 viruses that I've never received one in the
last 9 years of being on-line. And I receive several thousand
messages each week. Bottom line - Norton antivirus does nothing
useful on a Mac but it does have the potential to screw things up
when you are installing new software. I wouldn't touch it with a
bargepole.

On the subject of Pop-Ups, I use Pop-Up zapper lite with I.E. 5.1.7
(G3 running OS9). On my G4/Panther I use "Safari".
