Actually, my main problem under MacOS 9 was that I'd run out of memory (and adding more RAM and/or increasing iCab's memory allocation in the Finder) if I've been visiting sites with lots of graphics. >I set iCab to resemble Netscape because of a couple of sites that have >never responded well to Mac's version of IE - but I find the layout on >one of these is really weird now - one third of the screen is empty and I >have to scroll heavily to the right. Also, you can (with Filter Manager - download their tutorial from the iCab site) set up filters for certain sites that switches how iCab identifies itself. For example, they have a filter for Bank of America (which favors Exploder) which sets the identity shown to MIE, even when you use Netscape identity for all your other sites. Really neat, and I'm just learning how to set up filters (much work to go there on my learning)! I love iCab's ability to block pop-ups, scripts that want to hide the navigation bar, ability to block images of certain (advertising) sizes (at least, in the OS 9 version), and to block images from servers outside of that domain (which ad image servers usually are). Plus, they have versions from OS X back to 68K Macs to use. HTH, Jim Rohde Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
