Hi Nathan,
I use Claris Emailer 2.0v3 extensively. Partly because it is so good with
mailing lists. I'm running it on a G4/1000 Mac OS X.3.3 Panther. I allow
it 25MB of ram because I have several hundred thousand messages in there.
It runs great.
To file list mail automatically into the correct folders;
1) make a folder for the list mail
2) make a Mail Action to file it for you. Like this:
* if From is: IF TRUE | IF FALSE
[EMAIL PROTECTED] apply actions | goto next line
* if Any Recipient contains:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] apply actions | Don't apply actions.
ACTIONS:
file message in emailer-talk folder
X Stop mail actions is criteria is met
-----
I go one step further & make a another mail action that runs before this
one (above in list) that says:
IF TRUE | IF FALSE
* if From is:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] goto next line | DON'T apply actions
* If message body contains "Nathanson" Apply Actions | goto next line
* If message body contains "macmedix" Apply Actions | don't apply actions
ACTIONS:
file message in emailer-talk folder
set priority to Red
X Stop mail actions is criteria is met
=-===-=-==-=-=-=-=
The net result is that all the Emailer messages are filed in the Emailer
folder, AND the ones that are from me, or replies to me, are in red. So I
can spot them quickly & make sure I read those, even if I'm in a hurry.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Dave Nathanson
